Hiringhood emphasis on revolutionizing recruitment to improve the process for both employers and job seekers. Despite its pivotal role, traditional recruitment methods often fall short in swiftly connecting employers with top talent. To address this, Hiringhood pioneered bounty contests, through its SAAS platform offering a seamless and expedited approach to talent acquisition, ensuring optimal matches for all parties.

Individual Highlights

Since the work done during this project is under an NDA, I will be sharing some individual highlights about the process and the work, I undertook in various positions held during my time with the startup.

Managing the Design Team & Handover Process

  • During my time as an Associate Product Manager, I oversaw the design team which included 4 people.
  • Collaborated with product owner, head of product, and CTO to meet product requirements, incorporate feedback, & align design with product vision.
  • Design handover to dev team included user journey walkthroughs with wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specifications for each feature. Utilized Clickup tickets, hybrid wireframes, user stories, and live walkthroughs via videos and meetings.

User Story Creation & Progress Tracking

  • I collaborated with the product owner to break complex features into users stories and tasks.
  • These user stories were then updated to the product backlog as well as Clickup for progress tracking using a Kanban Board.
  • Based on the stage of development, sub tasks were also added to the tickets, either by the design team or the development team which allowed same tickets being shared between design and development teams ensuring transparency and better collaboration.
  • For ease of use, each screen was attached to corresponding ticket and vice-versa so that the tickets were also reflected in Whimsical for wireframes and Figma for mockups.

Product Strategy Workshop

After the successful launch of the MVP, a Product Strategy Workshop was held to define the next phase of Hiringhood. Some of the key highlights from the workshop were:
Feedback

Stakeholder Feedback

We collected input from all stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure the next phase of the product aligns with both user needs and business objectives. This included in-person meeting, surveys and interviews.

ideation

Product Feature Ideation

We conducted a Product Feature Ideation Workshop to identify a new set of features for the platform. This process involved utilizing competitive analysis & feedback from stakeholders, investors & operations team.

backlog

Product Backlog

The newly identified features were then integrated into our product backlog as epics and user stories. Additionally, we conducted user journey mapping workshops to ensure a seamless experience for our users.

Hi-Fidelity Mockups & Design System

Throughout all my positions at Hiringhood, I contributed to creation of Hi-Fidelity Mockups of the screens to capture stakeholder & product owner feedback before they were pushed into production. This reduced the amount of rework required in the development and better alignment of product and requirements. Also, I contributed to the creation and maintenance of a robust and scalable design system.

From User Stories to Wireframes

The Hiringhood platform is a very complex platform as it is an amalgamation of ATS, payments & CRM systems. With large amount of data to be viewed by multiple users with varying levels of access, presented a huge data visualization challenge. To overcome this challenge, design guidelines, layouts and a separate design system was created in Whimsical for wireframing. This enabled the team to create wireframes at a rapid pace which helped in quick validation by testing and feedback.
HH wireframe

Hybrid Wireframing

  • Incorporated a new integrated way of showcasing wireframes with the user journeys.
  • This new hybrid approach was followed company-wide by all designers and served a base for mockup designs.
  • Using the Connections feature in Whimsical, we connected all the wireframes creating one easy to follow seamless workflow.
  • These wireframes were linked to the user stories within Clickup and developers were able to quickly refer to detailed user journey, saving them precious time & improving efficiency.
